This March, I went to Ayuthaya with Aj.Lae and my friends who studying the Politico-Economy Doctrine subject. We went to the previous Thai village. Here, I saw one of the Thai house models showing a thin bamboo wall which grow the ivy gourd (Tum lueng). Since then I always think about growing this plant.

Four months later, I went back home and tell my mom that I would like to plant Tum lueng at my apartment. My mom didn’t say too much. She took me to pick the red Tum lueng from someone’s house. She told me to expose its seeds to the sun. I did that and went back to Bangkok with Tum lueng dried seeds. (I should take a photo of red Tum lueng and its seeds…)

Then I grew Tum lueng. I was not sure that it will grow up or not. Many of my friends and my sister said that I am such an idiot and taking too much time with a nonsense thing. But I didn’t care about. I want to make my dream comes true (quite over ;-)). Few days later, there were the tiny leaves in the soil. I felt very good to see that. Then it grows up day by day until I can eat Tum lueng leaves for four times up now. I am so proud that I can eat the output of my plant which I grow it by myself. This is quite work after I was not success with lettuce, the first vegetable I grew in my apartment.
